Valtellina is a beautiful Alpine valley that boasts a great wide variety of landscapes from perpetually snow-capped mountain peaks to glaciers, nature parks and vineyards. But there is much more to the valley than the scenery: visitors will also find ancient towns and villages, mediaeval castles, baroque architecture, museums and art collections as they enjoy the extensive, well-organized tourist facilities.
Valdidentro (Altitude: 1345 Meters 4413 Feet), in the heart of the Alta Valtellina, is located halfway between the town of Bormio and the duty-free area of Livigno , a few steps from Switzerland. Settled in the middle of the Rhaetian Alps, with the Stelvio National Park as its backyard, the municipal territory is the largest in the province of Sondrio. Valdidentro is a holiday destination in summer and winter for the whole family.
